Cosmetic Contouring

Re-contouring or reshaping (also called odontopolasy, enameloplasty, stripping or slenderizing) is a procedure in which small amounts of tooth enamel are removed to change a tooth´s length, shape or surface.
Cosmetic Contouring is an ideal treatment for small fractures, chips and "jagged teeth". It can also be used to smooth bulges or pits in tooth enamel. It is also a great conservative option to adjust the length of certain teeth such as the canines "pointed eye-teeth."
Re-contouring is not a substitute for veneers or bonding, however it can be used solely or in combination with these procedures to improve on what the aging process has done to our smiles.
Ask Dr. Martinez or one our staff members if cosmetic contouring is right for you.
